UK College of Engineering and True Lean Program

February marked the conclusion of the High School Manufacturing Academy (HSMA) with a visit to the University of Kentucky College of Engineering and True Lean program. https://www.engr.uky.edu/true-lean

The HSMA high school students represent five Kentucky school districts, Bourbon, Franklin, Harrison, Paris, and Scott County and currently attending at their respective schools pre/engineering classes and/or technical education career pathways.

The HSMA program intentionally incorporates the UK college experience providing students a first class visit and tour of the UK College of Engineering, participation in hands-on engineering challenges, and immersion in a True Lean simulation facilitated by Dr. William R. Cooper.
