Problem Solving in the Classroom

Angel Morris, teacher at Scott County, KY, Phoenix Horizon School invited Tim Turner, CQPO consultant to share the QUEST problem solving process with her high school students. Mr. Turner challenged and engaged students to solve a school related issue. Students followed the process to solve their issue and captured each step by recording it onto an A3, a communication tool used by Toyota. "We are using this form for solving several problems in our school that the students have noticed that need improvement. We really like how this problem solving technique breaks everything down into steps that can be examined and simplified," said Morris.
