The Center’s education work focuses on providing specific sets of classroom and training tools and processes that allow teachers and administrators to be more effective and efficient in their tasks.

The tools and processes are organized in two groups, QUEST and ASK:

QUEST LEARNING SKILLS
(Also see http://www.questlearningskills.org/)

The mission is to establish a continuous learning environment of mutual respect and trust in school-related communities by teaching problem-solving processes and utilizing teamwork which improve all students’ ability to learn current curriculum and prepare for real life choices. (more)

(See QUEST in the School Framework)

The ASK Process— Assessing Student Knowledge

The purpose of the ASK process is to allow each student to determine what he/she knows or does not know with regard to the core content being taught. This is accomplished by involving students in their own learning process through weekly monitoring of progress, and identification of individual strengths and weaknesses. Using this timely information, they can affect their own rates of improvement and progress. (more)
